Job Description

What is the opportunity?

As part of a dynamic team at PH&N Investment Services (a subsidiary of RBC Global Asset Management), you will be primarily tasked with extracting key data and information to meet the organization’s information system needs and requirements as part of a business wide transition to a new customer relationship management system. You will work closely with our management team to identify and analyze data trends, patterns, and insights that will help us make informed business decisions. You will also have the opportunity to learn about the ins and outs of how investment dealers and asset management firms work by shadowing and assisting our expert team of investment advisors.

What will you do?

  • Collect and analyze data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Create and maintain databases for efficient data management.
  • Develop and implement data analysis tools to enhance data quality and accuracy.
  • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex business problems.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Enrolled in a bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Excel, and Python.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with customer relationship management systems.
  • Knowledge of investment industry practices.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau.

In order to be eligible for these student positions, you must either:

  • Be returning back to school after the work term end-date; or
  • If you are not returning back to school (i.e., are graduating immediately after the work term), you must require the full work term as a mandatory component to graduate successfully.
