Job Summary

RBC Global Asset Management (“RBC GAM”) is a North American-based asset management firm with global scope and industry-leading investment management capabilities. As part of the Business Analytics team, the student will assist in management reporting on performance measures across distribution channels of mutual funds and other investment products, as well as implementation of new analytics solutions for various initiatives.

Job Description

What will you do?

• Lead/participate in the design, implementation, and management of new analytics & reporting solutions.
• Design and produce regular ad-hoc reports, and dashboards.
• Work with business partners to define, develop and document detailed business requirements.
• Integrate information from multiple sources to enable more efficient processes, enhanced analysis and/or streamlined reporting.
• Contribute to defined projects or tasks under direct supervision.
• Document processes or upgrades existing procedure manuals.
• Build effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
• Break down strategic platforms, and analyze data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
• Develop products and service knowledge and competence in tools and business processes used in the department.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:

• Analytical thinking with appropriate attend to detail
• High competency in Tableau, Access, SQL, Python and particularly Excel (Power Query/Power Pivot)
• Working knowledge of Management Reporting and Data Analysis
• Enrollment in Co-operating Program in a Post-Secondary Institution
• Knowledge of Investment Industry and willingness to learn Mutual Fund and ETF business.
• Able to adapt quickly and function independently in an unstructured environment.
• An innovative self-starter, who works well under time/deadline pressures.
